One of the pillars of Judato is entrepreneurship as a way to unleash creativity and thinking in solutions. With Tabu we weave these pillars into the platform, bringing together supporters and creators in a new kind of collaboration. Instead of top-down making things happen; we have chosen the grassroots path. This is slower and more meaningful as we learn to build together. It also means different decisions. What we produce might not be the top, the best, because there is no way to create something from scratch, while inviting people with different backgrounds and levels. Therefore, we made the decision to love our imperfections. It trains patience and expectations, while we iterate over what we are building.
How we’re preparing the thematic layers that will shape Tabu’s future.
To make the platform more meaningful and create opportunities for learning and participation; the platform will have thematic layers. These layers can have the form of educational material, partner themes, or specific subjects for certain ESG goals. Themes like, safe online, nature, reading and math etc. In this way we will be able to support Tabu without losing our autonomy.
Thematic layers matter because they will help the next generation with critical thinking. In order to do this; you have to interact in a certain way with the information you get. Moderation skills is one of them. With moderation, you can learn to judge something and decide on the action. Swiping is a form of moderation; although very superficial. Disinformation is much more difficult to find. AI makes this more challenging, because everyone can make new news with the click of a button. This creates opportunities if we do it in an educational way.
What we’re working on now
A holistic platform means that all the parts must work in sync with the end vision. What started as a simple idea has grown to something more than a blog where we post. The core must be build and because we made the decision to go for safety first; it means that we cannot just launch and try. Tabu will have a teen version and a public version. The build is the same, but the kids version will have the thematic layers. In that way, we can invite younger participants to co-create our platform. The MVP is coming nicely, and we build the basic features first ( authentication, feed, chat and collaboration).
Co-creation is our core principle
Because this challenge is so huge, we made the decision early on to make a platform that will be co-creation friendly. In order to facilitate this complexity, we are creating the infrastructure for it. All, this while we work based on our own co-creation principles.

Hacking solutions and the builder’s mindset
An empty platform does not make sense for a community. We thought of a good way to mitigate this problem. Our solution is to make the hacker mindset the best one. It is for curious minds, who want to take things apart and assemble new things. In that way, you can create content and help with new ideas. And yes, not everyone is technical; but we can use AI for prototyping and ideas. We are preparing a teen friendly version.
